Ever the imaginative artist, Lindahastried her hand at many types of media over the years. Beginning her career in the banking industry, she needed an outlet for her creative energy and so started drawing, painting, refinishing furniture, baking and was a cake decorator for a few years also.

Upon moving to Tucson in 2020 she fell in love with the beauty of the desert, including the vibrant tiles and murals as well as the varied flora and fauna. With the encouragement of friends, she soon enrolled in a tile-making class where she was immediately hooked. The process of forming the image in her mind’s eye, starting from raw clay, allows a level of almost complete creative freedom that she thrives in. She enjoys immensely the infinite possibilities afforded by the creation of the physical shapes and spending hours painting, detailing and finishing each piece of the puzzle and then arranging and grouping them together to form her final vision.

Applying the medium to beautify everyday items like trays, coasters, tables,and other useful items also appeals to her practical side. Furthermore, the journey from idea to finished art piece allows her to use another artist passions like painting along with an exacting attention to detail.
