Eldon grew up in (very) rural eastern Colorado. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University,1975. He studied Graphic Design, Interior Design, civil engineering, Urban Design, and Construction Management at CSU,in addition to FineArts.

His Career involved owning and operating a successful Urban Design firm for over 25 years. Eldon was named Fort Collins “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 1994 and also received various design and water conservation awards.
